Sacred Support

My favourite offering this year so far has been the one-on-one Support containers.
I’m getting to work with incredible women who have the willingness and courage to go to deep places, face aspects of themselves or their lives with curiosity and compassion and steadily weave in fresh practices to support themselves and their dreams.
Women find me through a range of avenues and seem to be drawn to the Movement Body & Expressive experience - often coming feeling like they are disconnected from their body, or with a desire to be more free, creative and expressive.
I love being able to tell them that our time together is their Sacred time carved out intentionally for them ~ allowing us to be with whatever naturally wants to rise and is ready to be approached with care.

The self-talk that is present for each of us is a common theme and the weight that we give this voice is so fascinating. I’m always so incredibly moved when we do dive into exploring where this stems from, to find that we are returning to childhood memories. It becomes an opportunity to sit with our inner child.
Allowing the body to lead the sessions ~ being in dialogue with the body and what it needs, where the feeling/sensation is and how it wishes to be expressed/held/touched. In this way, each women creates their own movement practices, their own movement tags/postures/gestures which they can return to for comfort, for regulation, for release, for strength, for power.
Being intentional with our attention and allowing full presence, it is always so intriguing to see what is ready to be shown, to be known, to be heard, seen and witnessed. It is an honour to bare witness to what comes out on their page in various colours/lines/shapes/words; what wants to be spoken, what wants to take form, what wishes to be shared.
What I love most about this practice and way of being with, is that the answers and wisdom come from within - it comes from the subconscious, it comes from the body. Clients leave our sessions with practical ways to connect with their body, with symbols and words of wisdom from within that can anchor them, can support their integration.

I am especially loving the combination of these Support Containers which combine the Movement Expressive sessions with the Creative Accountability sessions. As a multi-modal artist and award-winning Author with a long history of co-ordinating Community Projects, I am very familiar with the creative project journey.
Clients come with a project in mind or one they are currently working on and these sessions offer a juicy space to brainstorm, explore fresh directions and stay on track. We discuss challenges, refine ideas and make sure the creative spark stays alive. I give comprehensive feedback and home-play tasks, with weekly or fortnightly accountability check-ins and during our sessions we work with anything that has risen that is serving as a block or barrier, identifying fears, self-talk, the works!
These sessions gel so seamlessly together, I love seeing the progressive growth of the women and their project come to fruition. We need people who back us, see us, welcome all parts of us and are in our corner! I love being this for so many incredible women whose paths cross with mine.
