For the past 14 years, I have been actively working in the field of Community Development both within Australia and Internationally. I have held Program Coordinator, Team leader and Group Facilitator roles for a wide variety of community, youth and social justice programs - all with the focus of empowering participants, capacity building and supporting causes.
The majority of these programs involved working with at-risk young people and marginalised groups. Many of the programs were pilot programs where I integrated community development principles applying a participatory approach with young people and communities, working collaboratively to identify need areas, in order to be innovative in creating supportive experiences.
My range of experience has strengthened my proficiency across all aspects of program planning and delivery: from the initial stages of sourcing and securing funding, stakeholder engagement (creating and maintaining partnerships), community consultation and co-design; through to the implementation and coordination (logistics/operations), program content (resource creation), volunteer and staff training and management, facilitation of the program sessions (working with and alongside the young people, delivering workshop material, holding group work); and beyond to monitoring, reporting and evaluation.
Since 2016, my business Intuitive Self has advocated the transformative healing powers body and creative art modalities offer in strengthening one’s connection to their innate Body Wisdom & Intuitive Guidance.
I develop and facilitate programs and experiences for community groups, individuals and the public which aim to inspire curious enquiry, creative self-discovery, support and integration; providing client-entered, trauma-informed, compassionate care.
I have worked with kindergarten and primary school-aged children; youth with learning disabilities and trauma-based challenges; at-risk young people struggling with substance use, body and mental health challenges; newly arrived refugee families; Artists; Women’s group circles; and practitioners of Education, Social Work and Community Services.
I welcome opportunities to connect with people and organisations who are focused on education, social justice, wholistic wellbeing and alternative expressive therapies and collaborations with strong value alignment.
