It has been my experience and observation that in Western society we can often get caught in an overly busy must-be-productive rush. We can become consumed with devices that seek to distract and numb us from our feelings, taking us from the present moment. From a young age and/or as a result of particular events we live through, we can often become distant from our bodies, living dominantly in our thinking minds. When this happens, we can lose connection with our innate Body Wisdom and inner guidance.

 

This is what inspired me to write this book.

 

I believe that our relationship to Self is of utmost importance.

 

As a Movement & Expressive Arts Therapy Facilitator, I am a strong advocate for the use of creative modalities that allow us to gain insight into how to be with our feeling bodies and better understand how our bodies communicate with us. Growing this relationship with our Body Wisdom strengthens trust in our Intuition and nurtures compassion and love for Self.

In this visually vibrant & colourful eight-chapter journey I combine poetry and stories of my lived experience and over 20 practices that have been vital pillars in guiding me to live with clarity, confidence and the courage to claim my path, with conviction.

 

I hope that from reading my stories and being curious and open to the practices I provide, you will be both encouraged and inspired to cultivate your own creative-reflective embodied practices.

 

Everything I have written is my Truth.
